My Background
My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, majoring in Human Biology. This educational foundation allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the human body and its intricate systems, which serves as the basis for my holistic approach to patient care.
To further pursue my passion for helping others, I completed a Master of Sciences program in Physical Therapy at the UPR Medical Science Campus. Graduating in 2012, this advanced degree equipped me with a wealth of knowledge in physical therapy techniques and their practical application in patient treatment. However, I didn’t stop there—I continued to expand my expertise and commitment to excellence by earning a post-graduate Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015.
Throughout my career spanning over a decade, I have gained invaluable experience in diverse healthcare settings. I have had the privilege of working in both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation facilities, specializing as a neuro PT -treating individuals of all ages with Neuromuscular Disorders-.
I am proud to hold a Level B DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention) certification, which demonstrates my proficiency in utilizing this innovative approach to address movement and functional challenges in children. Furthermore, I have completed Level 1 training in TASES enabling me to effectively apply Functional Electrical Stimulation in junction to chill-led activities to optimize muscle strengthening and function. As I continue to prioritize professional growth, I am eagerly preparing to pursue the Level C DMI certification.
My dedication to my profession extends beyond certifications and academic achievements. I am deeply committed to providing patient-centered care, placing the needs and well-being of each child and family at the forefront of my practice.
My Approach & Philosophy
My approach combines evidence-based techniques with a nurturing and supportive environment. I believe in empowering children and their families throughout the therapy process, working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes.
Whether it’s improving motor skills, enhancing balance and coordination, or addressing sensory integration challenges, I am committed to helping your child reach their fullest potential. Through a combination of DMI therapeutic exercises, task-specific electrical stimulation, play-based activities, and sensory integration techniques, we can work together to overcome any obstacles and promote their overall physical development.
My son’s therapist was very knowledgeable and understanding. She definitely gave him a big push in the right direction, and I definitely think that’s why he’s doing as well today, physically as he should be.
Get in touch with me today, and let’s embark on a journey of growth and progress. I look forward to meeting you and your child soon!
